Cosfest VIII is finally over and it being my first time selling stuff at Cosfest, I can say it was definitely crazier and squeezier than the previous 2 events I took part in.
It was great talking to and meeting people from either sgcafe or DA and that I'm grateful for all the support from everyone who came, to visit, to help or just to say hi!

I have a complaint though.. There were just too little chairs provided to people with booths. Or were you able to ask for more than 2? Anyways, my past booth-mate didn't take part this time round but did drop by! and who were selling stuff with me, had to resort to some seat sharing, which is not cool.
We had to leave our prints on the floor (stored safely) and since I was standing most of the time, I had to constantly squat, kneel and stand to grab stuff and all.
My thighs hurt at the end of the day.. Nice stretch! But I didn't plan on turning into Chun-Li at the end of the Event!

Overall it was awesome though. and cosplaying on both days(Watchmen as Rorschach and Hellsing as Alucard, Sigma Harmonics as Sigma and KHR as Hibari).. helping a friend with the booth and a whole lot of friends coming down to the D'Marquee. It was great catching up with old friends at the chalet after Day 1 and though Day 2 was a little more crazy, it was definitely worth it!! I thoroughly enjoyed the performace by the dude who cosplayed Alex Louis Armstrong!


I had actually wanted to enter this jounrnal after catching up on some precious well earned sleep! Unfortunately, I had woken up to a horrible sore throat the next day and had a slight fever along with an irritable cough (Yea, I was pretty worried I was infected with 'The flu'..). Especially since I was so high during Cosfest, giving people hugs, hi-fives and 'manly' chestbumps! Kinda worried the friends around me would've contracted whatever I had too..
Went to the clinic for a check up yesterday and to my astonishment... I DID NOT HAVE IT!
It was just a throat infection..No idea how the hell it came about but I'm not complaining.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THEIR SUPPORT, HELP AND FOR JUST BEING SUCH AWESOME, KICKASS, ENTHU PEOPLE!!

Now, just a little update on my side..
I managed to get The Sims3 Collectors Edition and attended the launch at the Iluma on 2nd June!!
The first 600 get a free tee. I got there way before the event started but there were at least 3-4 hundred people in line already? Pre-orders came with an ultra-cool 2gb plumbob thumbdrive, a keychain, free tee or plumbob headband a few other random Sims merchandises (mugs, pens,cardboard foldable plumbobs, posters etc.) and the Game!

Now here's the thing, I have the game.. and we all know how addictive The Sims can be, no?
Well, I have month's worth of stuff to clear, clean, finish off and fix.. Be it work, personal pieces I oughta finish, Fanart for Cosfest or fixing the boards and pins raining off my wall, I'm gonna get it all done before I even think of installing The Sim3!!

Yea, I am saving myself the trouble of last minute rushed work or having more stuff fall off my wall and kill me while I'm in the zone.

Urgh!! M-MUST FOCUS!!!

My gawwwsh.

How long has it been since I updated anything here. Gotta clear some cobwebs..

Been super busy in the past month and for good reason too! This year me and were gonna join EOY 2008, which was on Saturday,13th Dec.. running a booth to sell some fan art and stuff.. and not to mention join.. it was my first time going to that event!! Though I had not slept in 1.5days, it was a great experience! It somehow felt like being in school again.. everyone was friendly and we could just start chatting even though we had never met before.

One thing's for sure.. I was so glad I managed to complete all the art works I had planned, even though it meant living like a vampire for a pretty darn long time..! And to actually see the response of people buying/browsing was too cool. Honest comments with a dash of harshness sometimes.

Sales were pretty alright. My large prints for the Christmas Cards were sold out [except for the one I stuck on the wall], and 's Soul Eater Calendars were out too!!


Awesomely 2 friends of ours, [ and ], were selling stuff in the opposite booth and some other friends had popped by too! Namely, [, , , ,Kit, Aaron, Wilson, Ada and both my bros].
Really appreciate all the support from family,friends and the EOY goers!


For now.. I'm gonna try to live as a human again. *looks at the time...* oh great.

Who saw it coming? It just came just like the wind and it took him with it.

Staying up to work's just a chore. No more feeding, nibbling, attention seeking, feet bumping, balling running routines to attend to. The night's gone so quiet even with my music playing.

For no particular I'm looking out of the window and every once in a while look at the tree where we buried him and wonder if this were some kind of prank played on me. And maybe he was still alive and was suffering from some momentary disorder and we buried him...man, this is sick.

After watching that documentary, "I woke up in a morgue", I'll totally agree with anyone saying there's a possibility he didn't die.. since I've the slightest idea of what the cause of his death is. When I left the house, he was still up and running.. next thing I know, 'Boom!', he's gone!!

Argh.. I know I'm whining and it sucks. Sorry to anyone who's reading this.

Been a week since MGS4 was opened,played and watched and seriously... I neeeed moooooreeeee...!

I wanna play through MGS1, 2 and 3! Since both 1 and 2 were on PC, I was tempted to buy the new releases for the PS2 but they don't have VR missions. Hopefully I'll just have to wait a little longer before Integral and Subsistence hits the shelves! XD

Gawd!!! Hideo Kojima needs to be punished bad! All I see in my sleep is MGS, MGS and more MGS!!! It's all his fault!!! RAH!  


Anyone with a PS3 has to have this game!!!

The first Marvel film I decided to watch a second time while in the first 30 min of the show. Thing is, I was never a huge Iron Man fan like I was with Spider Man. I thought the cartoon was boring and the Iron Man from Marvel vs Capcom pissed me off everytime I encounted him. "Darn cheapo!"

I'm glad I took the chance and gave $10.5 a try on the moive. And boy am I glad I did. :]
Robert Downey Jr. did Tony Stark so well, I'd believe they were the same person. Prolly reason behind it's his 'shady' past..? Really glad he got out of it and back on his feet.

Well, like Transformers and Ratatouille, this is gonna be another show I'd watch multiple times, especially for the SFX. Yaaay!

Can't wait for Iron Man 2 [WAR MACHINE!!!!!!!!] !!! Time to get them comics to keep me busy!! AGHH!!

Yay! My hamster's a year old! Got him a week after Fusion 2007. :3 Meaning he's got about 1 year more to live, or a year ++ if i take good care of him.

Too bad Hamster's only live up to 2 years or so.. still theyre interesting enough with different habits and personalities. If i had to keep hamsters my whole life, i'd known about 40 versions of 'em~! .. Well, the current model's name is Cloudy, he's the second one I've gotten. First one was Xiao Xue.. To me, he was the greatest and most awesome pet I could ever have at that point of time in my life. T_T

While I was muggin for the O levels, also during my 1st year in DMD, while I'd work on assignments till it was time for school the next day.. he'd just run around my desk and keep me company..

But havnt been able to let my current Ham play around on my desk since I got my laptop on it. *sigh* What other way is there to have these sorta 'bondings' with Hams?  geez.. i wish i could just keep a dog.. Or a cat!!

Some New Year this has been...

Kinda feels like I'm losing a part of myself somewhere in this little world of mine.

Some social issues.. I guess.

People leaving and all.. Suddenly I feel so cold and upset about something I cant change.
Especially today since my good friend has returned to Japan... Gonna miss her like mad man... *siiiigh*. And just last week, Marc, who's gone to Aussie, Melb.. And a month ago, my sister returned to Aussie, living in Perth for about 7 years odd. Wonder if she's ever gonna come back to Spore. *SIIIGH* The impact that these people left in my life makes it feel like it's gone blank and empty..


arghh.. I wanna crawl into a hole....

Went jogging with the peeps, Jian Long, Marc,  Kenneth, Okita and Yina in the evening though it was rainy~

Super cloudy and cool~

As usual we jogged from the office to East Coast Park, and this time we went towards the jetty~ yay yay yaY!!!!


Today was the first time I witnessed ECP (East coast Park) with the fewest number of people ever~ throughout our jog, the only people seen were couples under the pavilion or 1 or 2 just walking by. But generally, there was no one in sight, except the guys who were constantly in front of Yina and I. (pft!)

When we reached the jetty~ man.. the view was just awesome~!!!!!


The had just turned dark, and the clouds right above land were purple-ish gradating black toward the sea. And since there was light reflecting off the clouds, the sea was slightly lit and we could see how fierce it was~! Best part was walkin' on the jetty..
Street lamps were far far away behind (so we were pretty much walkin' in the dark), the lights from the ships in the distant were a really pretty sight, the nice effects the clouds had, it felt great to be walkin 'in the midst of the raging sea' (though I'd hate dropping into it!) and the fact that it was only US! (No annoying lil kids! wahahah!)


Now, thats a sight I'll never forget~ :3

From the beginning of August up till now, mid October, there's been brithdays after birthdays and etc.. explains why Im so broke..  

As for this weekend, I was invited to 2 secondary school buddy's birthday parties~ and though I was informed about a week in advance, i couldnt decide what to give 'em, since it was both 21st birthdays and I wanted to present something special..

First was Tian Yu's, held on Saturday 730pm at his home. At 400pm, there I was, sitting at my desk wondering what to get/buy/do. Just when I thought I might take a trip to junction 8 and have a look around, it started to rain insanely heavy. I was running outta time and I thought I'd just make a card with a cartoony version of him and print+frame my 01-8VI piece since he liked robots~

Thank God I completed the card in time. But I had to get the 01-8VI piece printed~! My home printer sucks so I had to run to the printing shop. When I got there, the shop was closed~!!!!! Great, I totally forgot it was a public holiday~!! There was no other printing shops in Bishan other than Zap. My mind just went blank, staring at the closed sign~ ... "shit!!! Im not gonna give him anything afterall~!!!! DAMN!"  

I was low on cash, but there was a last resort. FUJI FILM. Hell yeah... They print A4 all right.. but no instant printing and to have it developed in 30min? It'd cost 10BUCKS!

After all the running ups and downs, I managed to get it framed and wrapped.  *whew...*


Sunday was Pearlyn's turn and this time I had to go church, meaning squeezing my precious sleeping time, illustrating a potrait of her and sending the image for printing in the few hours I had.

Yes, I had decided to get the same photo frame thingie for her too, but instead of just printing something I already had, I wanted to paint a profile of her.

I was rushing my ass of trying to paint her in a more realistic way. To make things worse, I havnt seen her since we graduated 4 years ago and I was gonna try a new rendering technique. ~_~

45min before church, I was forced to seal it as a complete piece, though I wasnt exactly satisfied with it. I had to send it for printing, go to church, return to collect it, frame it, then go straight for the party~!!


Thinking about the parties, it feels weird seeing the guys on Saturday and the girls on Sunday, so long after not seeing them all~ some of 'em say I havnt changed a bit and another friend said I prolly changed somehow, just dont know where yet.. hahaha~ I wonder if thats a good thing or a bad thing~


All that rushing felt so much like school~ makin' me miss it all over again. Crazy huh?
I'm just glad everything turned out fine~

Alrights, I better go crash in bed now.... . . . zzz.

Buur.. just realised how long it's been seen I wrote my last journal.

Well, I graduated in March and after the Fusion Show 2007, I was mostly gaming, hangin out with friends and doin' some sketchin for my own interest. Didn't upload those cause they're better off stuck in my sketch book, for now at least.

In April, I was hanging out with my friends 80% of the time, playing games, movies, sketching some place together and celebratin' me 21st Birthday~ "yay yay!"

Went to Perth to visit my sister for the month of May and hoped to find a peace of mind there, so I could do some traditional paintings with perhaps a different feel from home. However, I came back with more drawings, a short comic and 2 lousy water colour paintings. XP

In July, I finally started working freelance on a comic for IFS. Thanks to who introduced me to the job. It was a cool and interesting job to take up since I always wondered what it was like to be involved with producing comic books.

Went for an interview and before I knew it, I had last than a month before I offically started work [August 3rd].

It's almost 2 months since I've been at IFS and everyday's been great~! Yea, Im someone who loves long and abnormal sleeping hours, like 4am - 12pm.. but even though I have to wake up at 8am, which is freakin' early to me, I manage to bounce out of bed and feel good about starting a new day.

The people are great fun. Which is a big deal to me. I hate going to a place where people don't be as who they are or are just plain pooheads~ cause you're a freakin' working adult and you must behave as one to gain respect blah blah blah.

Still, after work I find myself pretty zonked out and hardly have enough energy to work on Temple Guardians and personal illustrations. I'll need to find a way to work this out, or it'll mean it's another few months before I update my DA.

Hahaa.... school hols started 5 weeks ago and is ending in just a few days time ....  

Wish i could come up with something before it STARTS again .. (since i've promised already).   So hopefully the next one comin up would be a Shaman King piece ..

Feeling a little more inspirational after 's works just now .. (*so sickening*) lol..!!!
